No Screens Way

No way! No way there are retreats hosted for a total digital detox for which people PAY to go to.

I was bouncing through the ideas if I can take up a weekend off of screen time and ummm..I think I did good!

No way I am capable of doing a dedicated no-screens + no internet day. I did not know that I could spend over 33 hours without going mad. While I was in the middle of the 33 hours situation which was intentional, I started feeling the need to jump on right away since I wanted to browse and listen to music and everything of that sort.

I was capable of allowing myself to not do any of that and just do "Nothing". I saw a book and I thought of getting the reading done and I stopped myself from doing that too. I wanted my eyes to rest.

What I did however was three part morning pages routine in the morning with some reflection and stuff while drinking chai.

I didn't even revise my Turkish study material etc.

Just quiet, walking, napping, doing random chores. Doing oil massage abhyanga, having a good bath with Epsom salt and just soaking in some early morning sun to dry everything out pretty well. There is cool breeze here but no monsoon has arrived where I lived. Summer still in the game - since March! I've been doing Chandranamaskar -Moon Salutations and Cooling Pranyamas to help me out as well.

Also, no way, there is a place on earth where sun sets for like six months, Svalbard it is. I didn't know that! Not that I can survive there since being from tropical region - I am so fucking used to Sun being sun everyday for like 12 hours. When I also read that the sun sets at 8 pm in some part of the world - I feel they are from different planet. My mind thinks - no way that's real and in reality it is REAL.

Do I need to visit such places to beat the fucking summers here at 43 Degree Celsius!? I think so, someday!
